La prima notte della cerimonia di premiazione della 29esima edizione degli MTV Movie & TV Awards 2021, condotta da Leslie Jones, è stata trasmessa in diretta da Los Angeles su MTV e MTV Music il 16 maggio.
Il 17 maggio, andrà in onda la seconda notte, presentata da Nikki Glaser e dedicata agli MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted – i premi dedicati ai programmi “senza copione”-.
Le candidature erano state annunciate lo scorso 19 aprile: WandaVision aveva ottenuto cinque nomination e ha conquistato il primato in quattro, Bridgerton e Borat 2 hanno vinto un premio su tre candidature.
L’MTV Generation Award, che viene assegnato all’artista che dimostra talento, versatilità e grande successo nei film interpretati, è stato assegnato a Scarlett Johansson
