Versace unveils La Vacanza 2026 campaign, Versace Obsessed: a dialogue between past and present

Just over three months after the appointment of Pieter Mulier as Versace’s new creative director, the fashion house today, May 7, 2026, unveiled its new La Vacanza 2026 campaign, Versace Obsessed. Shots that relate past and present, reaffirming the brand’s visual identity through images that dialogue with its own history.

Signed by Steven Meisel, the campaign builds an intimate narrative suspended in time: scenes set in bedrooms where new faces and historical figures from the Versace universe coexist in the same imagery. The result is a reflection on the concept of obsession – for fashion, for image, for the visual legacy of the maison – that spans different generations without losing intensity.

The walls of the rooms become an integral part of the story: in fact, they are covered with tearsheets of the historic advertising campaigns created by Steven Meisel between 1993 and 2004, starring some of the supermodels who defined an era. A direct reference to the aesthetics that helped build the myth of Versace and that continues to this day to influence pop culture and the language of contemporary fashion.

The dialogue with the archive is also reflected in the La Vacanza 2026 collection, which reinterprets the maison’s codes through a more contemporary approach. Denim, printed silk, saturated-color tailoring and black leather enriched with golden details coexist in a balance between glamour and streetwear. Elements immediately traceable to Versace’s DNA are taken up and reinterpreted without nostalgia, keeping intact that visual tension that has always characterized the brand. More than a celebration of the past, Versace Obsessed seems to want to reaffirm the continuity of a precise aesthetic, still capable of imposing itself in the contemporary imagination while going through a new creative phase.
