The most coveted house in the world is Bad Bunny’s

Coveted, dreamed of, discussed. Over the months we have seen her in every guise. In the launch short for “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” then in the residency in Puerto Rico, where she became central to the visual imagery of Bad Bunny’s project. He is the proponent of the revival of a symbol now known by all. And frequented by so many. First LeBron James, Austin Butler, Kylian Mbappé, Penélope Cruz, Javier Bardem. Then Cardi B, Pedro Pascal, Leo Messi, Jessica Alba, Karol G, Lamine Yamal and Ester Expósito.

Perhaps the place where everyone (at least Bad Bunny fans) would like to be? Yes. Perhaps the most talked about “home” in the world? Yes. Also because, if we really want to be honest, that very symbolic place reported by the Puerto Rican artist really exists in reality. In fact, in the short film launching his latest record, the house from which it all then sort of started belongs to an 84-year-old compatriot of Bad Bunny, who, after authorizing the filming of the short, claims that he did not give consent for subsequent uses of the house’s image. According to the Los Angeles Times and 20Minutos, the man allegedly filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against Bunny and his team for the unauthorized use of the house’s image, given the heavy exposure (including commercial exposure) of that home in the months following the filming. But also because it would cause quite a few privacy problems for the owner, who would see dozens of fans approaching his actual “casita” to photograph it. A perfect paradox to be associated with an album entitled “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.”

A symbol not only of a record project, but also of Puerto Rico. The likeness of the casita, which on tour-apparently the organizers said-was replicated in a different way than the one used in the short film, is also a symbol of Puerto Rico and its oldest dwellings. That from a simple stage set, or second stage for the needs of the live show, has become much more than stage imagery. It is now a worldwide icon.
