2,500 security personnel. 500 healthcare workers. 10,000 workers in total. A record-breaking stage measuring 140 meters long and 60 meters high, with 34 towers each 33 meters tall. 2,500 square meters of high-resolution LED screens, over 1,500 lighting fixtures, 18 giant screens positioned throughout the show area, and 38 delay towers with audio and lighting. A 30-meter-long catwalk. A 150,000-square-meter area that hosted 250,000 people. These are numbers—perhaps trivial, perhaps redundant, but certainly impressive—linked to one of the most eagerly anticipated events by thousands upon thousands of people who, yesterday, Saturday, July 4, 2026, made history. “ULTIMO 2026 – THE FAIRY TALE FOREVER” is a reality. Against the thrilling backdrop of Tor Vergata in Rome, an endless sea of people filled the concert by Nicolò Moriconi, known by his stage name Ultimo.
The Gathering of the Last, organized by the man who has always sought to give a voice to those who have had none. With songs that serve as a source of healing for thousands of people and events that have become collective rituals. And this, without a doubt, has held even greater significance. “There are dreams that hang in the air for years, kept in silence and shielded from the gaze of others. And then there are visions so clear they seem like memories of the future: something that hasn’t happened yet, but which those who imagine it already feel is inevitable,” Ultimo had said just a few hours before that historic evening. Because the Tor Vergata date became the live concert with the highest number of tickets sold in the global music scene. An all-time record, achieved in just three hours, a year before the concert, in 2025. And one year later, it’s a reality.

With a thrilling show that traced the Roman singer-songwriter’s incredibly successful career, that young man sitting at the piano in San Basilio became mayor for a day of a temporary city made up of 250,000 people. The city of Ultimo. Which proves that, truly, his is a “fairy tale that lasts forever.”

A fairy tale that countless fans had been eager to experience days in advance, camping out in the area several days beforehand. Some had even been there since June 19, the organizers explain. And so the city, too, transformed itself for several hours, hosting what was not only a record-breaking event but also an unforgettable night. Made special by the artist’s words and music. From “Pianeti” to “Cascare nei tuoi occhi,” all the way to “Colpa delle favole,” “I tuoi particolari,” and “Il ballo delle incertezze.” And finally, “Altrove” and “Sogni appesi,” which brought a rich and one-of-a-kind setlist to a close. Ultimo commented on his Instagram profile with a simple “We’re making history,” accompanied by a camera shot of him from behind as he sang, facing his endless audience, the end of which was nowhere in sight.
