Highly anticipated by fans around the world, the first trailer for the new chapter in the Spider-Man saga is officially available. Spider-Man: Brand New Day starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and its special cast boasts the presence of actors such as Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
Launched with an unprecedented worldwide event, the trailer release saw a 24-hour handoff, where Tom Holland himself invited a selection of fans of the saga to share their personal stories about what Spider-Man represents to them. By inviting the audience to follow the event across time zones, fans of the film were thus able to join together to celebrate a Brand New Day, indeed.
This new chapter will represent a completely new moment for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. “Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living in complete solitude, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “Fighting crime in a New York City that no longer knows his name, he has devoted himself entirely to protecting his city, but as his responsibilities intensify, the pressure unleashes a startling physical evolution that threatens his very existence, while a mysterious new crime spree gives rise to one of the most dangerous threats he has ever faced.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is produced by Sony Pictures and distributed by Eagle Pictures and will be available in theaters starting next July 29.
