Shakira: Dai Dai is the new official song for World Cup 2026

Next June 11, 2026, the FIFA World Cup 2026 will officially kick off. And as the world’s greatest international champions prepare to compete in the various matches to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, as usual, a new anthem also could not fail to be ready to set the stage for this World Cup.

“From Maracaná Stadium, here’s “Dai Dai,” the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. To be released on May 14. We are ready!” So wrote Shakira on her Instagram profile in the last few hours, announcing that, once again, it was her honor to bring to life the song that will become the symbol of the most anticipated soccer competition.

A veteran of this role, after Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) made for the World Cup held in South Africa in 2010, the Colombian pop star had also previously made the second theme song of the tournament in 2014, with La La La (Brazil 2014) which was presented during the closing ceremony in Rio de Janeiro.

With the notes of this new song providing the backdrop for the highly anticipated matches, next July 19 we will find out which of the 48 teams in the running for the title will be officially crowned world champions, entering soccer history never to leave it again.
