Today, Paris is synonymous with Saint Laurent. With the SS27 collection designed by Anthony Vaccarello, the fashion house transforms the runway into a suspended, smoke-shrouded space—almost surreal. On one hand, an elusive, dreamlike atmosphere; on the other, clean, confident silhouettes—a minimalism that doesn’t eliminate, but selects; that doesn’t renounce excess, but disciplines it until it becomes essential. Through tailored suits in true Saint Laurent style, soft blouses, delicate yet striking color contrasts, and creative touches like extra-long, sheer lace-ups, Vaccarello reaffirms once again that sensuality can be synonymous with elegance.
This is evident not only on the runway but also in the audience. From Charli XCX—already the face of the brand—who chose a red lingerie dress with lace details, to Connor Storrie, who surprised everyone with a black vinyl trench coat worn over a knit tank top, a tie, and Bermuda shorts paired with high boots, while Austin Butler, dressed entirely in black, opted for a relaxed yet impeccable tailored suit. Farida Khelfa went all black in a shiny coat dress with front buttons and a full skirt, while Anja Rubik embodied the brand’s DNA in a semi-sheer lace bodysuit and a mustard-colored fitted skirt.
It’s impossible not to mention Madonna, who chose a coated lace minidress paired with two-tone pink and black pumps.
Charlotte Gainsbourg wears a burgundy minidress with gold details that evoke the look of lace, while Joe Alwyn opts for black tailored pants and a rust-colored shirt with a tie tucked between the buttons.
