The World Cup may be over, but the soccer season is already set to begin again. Riccardo Calafiori, defender for the Italian national team and Arsenal, knows this all too well. Fresh off a Premier League title and just one step away from Champions League glory with the Gunners, the Italian soccer player is back at work with his teammates for an exciting new season. With a title to defend and the goal of bringing the Azzurri back to the top, they await the announcement of the new head coach following the disappointment of failing to qualify for the World Cup just a few weeks ago.
Workout and Recovery. From Girona, Spain, the defender is taking part in the team’s preseason training camp, alternating between early training sessions at the Hotel Camiral in Caldes de Malavella and some time in the pool to recover alongside his teammates. It’s a return to normalcy after a vacation spent in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and Sardinia, before finally getting back on the field.
