Paris Calls for Fashion: SS27 Fashion Week Schedule Unveiled

Paris is turning the spotlight on the upcoming fashion season: the schedule for September’s Paris Fashion Week has been officially unveiled, featuring the Spring/Summer 2027 collections on the runway. It promises to be a particularly packed event: the schedule currently includes 68 runway shows and 33 presentations, once again confirming the French capital’s role as a premier stage for international creativity. It’s a packed schedule that brings together new generations of designers and independent labels—such as Julie Kegels and Hodakova—with historic fashion houses that continue to shape the fashion industry, from Dior to Saint Laurent.

Following Milan, Paris Fashion Week will officially kick off on Monday, September 28, with Julie Kegels opening the proceedings. Matières Fécales will close out the first day with an evening show at 7:00 p.m., at a time when the creative duo is drawing particular attention for their recent collaborations, including the wedding dress they designed for Gabbriette. The following day, Tuesday, September 29, will feature some of the most anticipated shows: on the schedule are Dior and Marie Adam-Leenaerdt, winner of the ANDAM Grand Prize, before the day concludes with the Saint Laurent show. There will also be a great deal of attention focused on the debuts of the new creative directors. On September 30, Drew Henry will make his debut at the helm of Courrèges, while on October 1, Kai Nesserlath will present his first collection for Carven.

The schedule will continue with a lineup of legendary names in Parisian fashion and international brands that have long chosen Paris as their global showcase: The Row, Balmain, Dries Van Noten, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford, and Chloé will be among the highlights on October 1, followed by Alainpaul, Balenciaga, Rick Owens, and Schiaparelli. Among the most interesting events are those featuring fashion houses undergoing a creative transition. Alaïa, following Pieter Mulier’s recent departure, will present a collection developed by its in-house creative team on October 3, pending the announcement of its new artistic direction. Miu Miu is also breaking with tradition: the brand, which usually closes out Tuesday’s schedule, will hold its show this time on Sunday, October 4, at 1:00 p.m. Also on the same day, Valentino will return to Paris—after having chosen Rome as the venue for its previous show—with a show scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

One of the most anticipated moments of the week will undoubtedly be Chanel, a fashion house that’s currently under close scrutiny—especially following Matthieu Blazy’s appointment as creative director—which will present its new collection on Monday, October 5, at 8:00 p.m. Closing out Paris Fashion Week, as is tradition, will be Louis Vuitton, with its runway show scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, at 6:30 p.m.

The number of brands involved, the number of debuts, and the creative buzz surrounding some of the most closely watched fashion houses—from Chanel to Dior, including Tom Ford—make this edition of Paris Fashion Week one of the most eagerly anticipated. All eyes are already on the French capital, which is once again poised to set the trends for international fashion.
