Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner on the set of the *Possession* remake

Even *Possession* has ended up in the crosshairs of the Hollywood remake machine, which in recent years seems to know no bounds. The 1981 cult film directed by Andrzej Żuławski—a one-of-a-kind work that has always defied classification, hovering between psychological horror, existential drama, and a visionary nightmare—will return to the big screen in a new American adaptation directed by Parker Finn.

Margaret Qualley will carry on the legacy of the magnetic Isabelle Adjani. The actress, daughter of Andie MacDowell, has already demonstrated—in films such as *The Substance*—that she possesses the talent and courage necessary to tackle roles of great physical and emotional intensity. It remains to be seen whether the remake will measure up to one of the most iconic and radical films in cinema history—a film that still divides, fascinates, and unsettles audiences today.

Alongside Qualley, in the role originally played by Sam Neill, will be Callum Turner. The first photos from the set, taken in New Jersey, show Qualley already fully immersed in her role. Joining her is Callum Turner, the British actor fresh off the success of *Eternity*.
