Flown to Cannes for the presentation of his new film El ser querido, in which he plays the role of director Esteban MartĂnez, Javier Bardem was among the most anticipated actors at this edition of the kermesse. On the red carpet preceding the screening of the film, the Oscar-winning Spaniard wore an impeccable classic tuxedo with satin lapels and bow tie, an example of timeless masculine elegance.
As stated in the film’s official synopsis, Bardem “for his new project offers his daughter Emilia a role under the guise of helping her with her stalled acting career. Living together on set will foster a closeness they haven’t shared in years, but it will also reopen old wounds that have never healed.”
