Istituto Marangoni Miami celebrates emerging talent with “The Great Beauty”

Istituto Marangoni, one of the most important international institutions when it comes to fashion schools, has now extended its experience from Milan to several cities around the world, confirming its authority in the creative field and for the training of future talents. These include Florida’s pearl Miami, where the usual end-of-year show was held last May 20. In the evocative setting of the Miami Design District’s Jungle Plaza, “The Great Beauty” was staged, the third edition of the event that combines creativity, education and concrete support for new generations of designers.

For the occasion, the location was transformed into a vibrant contemporary Italian city, capable of evoking the timeless elegance of the Bel Paese and the cosmopolitan energy of Miami. An immersive setting that perfectly represented the institute’s DNA: Italian roots and international spirit. The absolute stars of the evening were the final collections of the fashion design students, presented for the first time on the catwalk in front of an audience of distinguished guests, industry professionals and personalities from the creative world. In addition to being a showcase of excellence for young talents, the event also represents the institute’s main fundraiser, earmarked for scholarships promoted by the Miami Fashion Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to support future fashion stars.

Inspired by the themes of eternal elegance and Italian craftsmanship, “La Grande Bellezza” transformed the catwalk into a true living work of art, enhancing details, textures and stylistic research. “With this third edition of the graduation showcase, we want to continue to demonstrate not only the extraordinary talent of our students, but also how crucial it is to support them through excellent education and concrete opportunities in the industry,” said Istituto Marangoni Miami President Hakan Baykam. “The Great Beauty celebrates what comes about when young creatives are given the space to express authentic and personal visions.”

Further enriching the evening were live performances by Italian singer Arianna Bergamaschi, an artist who throughout her career has collaborated with international names such as Pitbull, Shaggy, will.i.am, Michael Bolton, Andrea Bocelli and Il Volo. The event brought together the best of Miami’s creative scene, including fashion, art and contemporary culture. On the runway, models enhanced by GWT Beauty’s Godina Worldwide team brought the graduating students’ creations to life in front of special guests, including supermodel Karolina Kurkova, stylists Danny Santiago and Irma Martinez, as well as international journalists and influencers.

Supported by historic partners such as the Swiss watch brand RADO, the fashion show confirmed itself as one of the most significant events in Miami’s creative scene, reinforcing the city’s role as an international hub for design, innovation and new aesthetic languages. The evening ended with an exclusive after party at the famous Moore Building, accompanied by Lalo Tequila cocktails, Ethica wines and Rosetta Bakery signature specialties.
