On set in Downtown Manhattan, Cameron Diaz ironically returned to bring new scenes from the unreleased film The Sham to life.
Described as a romantic comedy, the story will follow the adventures of the actress alongside her co-star Stephen Merchant, who on this occasion also plays the roles of director and screenwriter.
Employed in a luxurious New York City hotel, the character played by Merchant will be a British man completely absorbed in his work who, at a particular stage of his life, will find himself in need of a wife to keep up appearances. To this end, he will strike a deal with a struggling comedian-played by Diaz herself-but their sham marriage will soon turn into a real romance.
