If there is one thing Hailey Bieber seems to have a particular skill in, besides her role as Rhode’s entrepreneur and founder, it is undoubtedly the ability to turn ideas into concrete goals. Or to put it more romantically, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Indeed, in her case, almost “If you can say it, you can do it.”
In a recent interview with TIME, Hailey shared some background related to the growth of her beauty brand and the subsequent sale to e.l.f. Beauty, a deal worth a total of $1 billion. Among other reflections, Hailey explained that she visualized a very specific goal from the beginning: the figure of one billion. Not just as an economic goal, but as a real stated intention. “I put it in the universe,” she recounted, explaining that she often repeated to herself that that would be the final valuation of her brand, “and not a penny less.”
And the results, indeed, have come surprisingly quickly: just three years after the brand’s launch and with a still restrained product range, Hailey Bieber has completed the sale to e.l.f. Beauty, in a deal that represents one of the most closely watched deals in the recent beauty industry. All this in a year of change for Hailey, starting with the first year of the son she shares with Justin, Jack Blues, but which does not scare her, quite the contrary. At least in her own words, she really seems to have found her formula.
