On yesterday evening, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, the 71st edition of the David di Donatello Awards was held at Teatro 23 at Cinecittà Studios in Rome. Among the most prestigious awards as far as the Italian film scene is concerned, considered the national equivalent of the Academy Awards, the Davids are also for the traditional categories of cinema with respect to the work done over the past year.

Cinecittà David 71 Special Award

Among the stars of the evening, presenter Bianca Balti for the occasion sported both a total black look from the FW26 collection by Jil Sander by Simone Bellotti, a minimal and austere yet sophisticated and geometrically designed dress featuring a square neckline, midi length and long draped back. The model also opted for a look from Issey Miyake’s FW26/27 collection, featuring a sculptural bustier with a shiny, shimmering texture that seductively reveals the back, while the skirt falls straight and structured.
Matilda De Angelis chooses instead an archival Armani Privè look from the FW 2005 season. A total black dress sophisticated in its precious essentiality that reveals the back thanks to the shimmering crisscross effect.
1920s allure for Tecla Insolia, who chose a powder-colored, shimmering textured gown by Fendi by Maria Grazia Chiuri. Valeria Bruni Tedeschi wore a draped black long dress with turtleneck neckline and shiny micro appliqués by Giorgio Armani, while Valeria Golino opted for a peplum dress with plunging neckline in black satin fabric.
Ornella Muti sports a shimmering textured dress with a white lace boat neckline, black double-breasted tailored suit by Loro Piana for Pierfrancesco Favino, paired with a white shirt without a tie, while Luca Marinelli chooses a black tailoring suit.
