Craftsmanship, iconicity and design: these are the values that define the new collaboration between Balenciaga and Manolo Blahnik, the historic luxury footwear brand. More than just a shoe brand, Manolo Blahnik is a cultural symbol built over time by films, TV series and celebrities who have chosen to wear its creations, transforming them into the emblem of a style capable of crossing eras and trends without losing its luster. Fundamental values that Balenciaga’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli has decided to pay homage to in the new FW26 capsule collection, where footwear becomes an expression of a shared vision made of couture tradition and craftsmanship.
Conceived as a creative dialogue between Manolo Blahnik, Pierpaolo Piccioli, and Cristóbal Balenciaga’s DNA, the collaboration celebrates the two designers’ Spanish roots and the elegance of craftsmanship they share. What emerges is a natural synergy, built on elegance and precision, on classic and timeless silhouettes that manage, however, to reinvent themselves with evocative power even in the contemporary.
The BALENCIAGA | MANOLO BLAHNIK capsule collection includes flat mules and slingback sandals with 105 mm or 50 mm heels. Characterized by a décolleté cut, the silhouettes allow a glimpse of leather and highlight Pierpaolo Piccioli’s ability to work the form in its essentiality, without sacrificing fluidity and sensuality. Precious and feminine shoes, designed to enhance the foot with grace and accompany every look with a discreet but distinctive presence.

The models arise from a true creative dialogue: a duet built from archival Manolo Blahnik designs, selected by Piccioli and reinterpreted in a new aesthetic synthesis. All three silhouettes are made of satin silk, a texture that continues to dominate the season’s proposals thanks to its innate femininity, and are offered in different color variants with Balenciaga gray lining. A signature feature of the footwear house are the crystal embroideries, an expression of Blahnik’s ornamental taste and his iconic jewel shoes. A detail that also recalls Balenciaga’s 1960s bijoux collections, creating a continuous dialogue between two absolute protagonists of fashion, between heritage and contemporaneity.
