The Swiss luxury watchmaker marks a new debut: that in the world of padel. Audemars Piguet has in fact inaugurated a global partnership with Qatar Airways Premier Padel, for which it becomes official timekeeper. In addition, it has chosen to launch a partnership with a champion and current world number one ranked player, Argentine player Agustín Tapia.
Always linked to the world of sports, considered a natural extension of its own imagery, the Swiss brand thus opens a new chapter in one of the sports that, in recent years, has experienced exponential growth, becoming increasingly popular and practiced and involving different generations and spheres, from fashion to music to the arts.
“Sports have always been part of Audemars Piguet’s history. With padel we continue this journey, opening a new chapter guided by the values that matter to us: inclusion, teamwork and talent,” said Ilaria Restain a note reported by MFF. “The sport unites people of all generations and genders, creating a shared and fun space for our community.”
Joining the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour circuit represents a concrete presence for Audemars Piguet on an international scale. Created in partnership with the International Padel Federation, the tour brings together some of the best talent on the global scene in one of the most prestigious circuits in the industry. The role of official timekeeper will translate into a visible and widespread presence: in fact, the brand will be present both on the court, on the wrist of the champions, and through various branded elements within the tournaments, as well as in the numerous activations planned during the stages and in international broadcasts. A way to enter into direct dialogue with an increasingly large and relevant community.
