It had been rumored for some time and now it is finally official: Ariana Grande has announced her new album. The artist revealed it with a post on Instagram, in which appears a photo, which could be the cover of the project, accompanied by a word and a number: Petal, the title of the album, and 7.31, which is the release date, July 31.
Her latest album, 2024’s Eternal Sunshine debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200, marking the sixth No. 1 of her career, while the singles Yes, And? and We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, making Ariana Grande the female artist with the most No. 1 debuts in the chart’s history.
We are confident that this new project will not be outdone in terms of success, at a stage in her career when her influence goes far beyond music. In recent years, in fact, Ariana has expanded her path into film as well: after the two musical films of Wicked, in which she plays Glinda, she received great attention for an intense, vocal performance that contributed significantly to the emotional impact of the film.
Also expected later this year is Meet the Fockers, whose poster was recently released. He stars alongside Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller in the film, in a new storyline that follows the family dynamics born out of the relationship between Greg Focker’s son and a strong-willed female companion, destined to upset the delicate balance at home.
