The signs of time do not seem to scratch her, just as her desire to put herself on the map remains intact, even through fashion, which has become a valuable ally and, above all, emblem of this new golden age. The face of Gucci and courted by the maisons, Demi has chosen to depart from the classic and stereotypical image of the Hollywood lady, daring and experimenting with cuts, silhouettes and combinations that exude contemporaneity and a glamour that is never conventional.
And what better showcase than the Cannes Film Festival to flaunt outfits that are daring yet perfectly up to the red carpet of the world’s most important film festival? Curated by stylist Brad Goreski, the looks of the most talked-about juror of this edition of the kermesse left fans and spectators alike with bated breath day after day, never betraying her desire to be recognizable but, above all, iconic. From the polka-dot dress by Jacquemus to the off-duty minimal chic by Gucci, passing through the Barbie-core by Matières Fécales to the hyper chic black and white by Thom Browne – all embellished with sumptuous jewelry by Chopard – Demi walked the red carpet with the allure of a fashion muse, conquering the photographers with magnetic glances and with her very long raven hair. Hair that, surprisingly, was replaced by a soft bob on Thursday evening, confirming once again her desire to put herself on the line also through hairstyling. Until the grand finale, where Demi played on the contrast of colors and volumes, wearing a long emerald green dress by Balenciaga by Pierpaolo Piccioli with an American-style jeweled neckline.
