Autry x Hotel Corazón: the capsule collection that rewrites the Mediterranean aesthetic

May 31 in Mallorca opens with the feeling that something has just happened and yet still continues to vibrate in the warm air of the hills between Deià and Sóller. It was here, inside the historic finca that houses Hotel Corazón, that Autry chose to shape its new summer vision together with one of the most iconic and recognizable retreats in the Mediterranean: Autry x Hotel Corazón was not just a presentation, but an encounter between related languages, a way of inhabiting space and time that goes beyond mere collaboration.

Hotel Corazón, nestled between the Serra de Tramuntana and the Mediterranean Sea, continues to confirm itself as one of those rare places where the concept of luxury dissolves into something more subtle and human: light, silence, matter, presence. Its 15 rooms tell a precise philosophy, that of intentional simplicity coexisting with a strong aesthetic and cultural identity. Founded by British photographer Kate Bellm and Mexican artist Edgar Lopez, Corazón is a living organism, conceived as a creative crossroads and international community space, where art is not exhibited but experienced.

Within this framework, Autry has constructed a narrative that fits in naturally, almost as if it has always belonged in these landscapes. The capsule is developed around the Sandy sneakers-espadrilles, a reinterpretation that comes from the encounter between the structure of the iconic Medalist and the lightness of traditional espadrilles. The result is an object that renounces all rigidity: canvas without lining or internal reinforcements, an EVA and cork sole that accompanies the step with flexibility, and a construction that allows them to also be worn as open-back slippers, bending the heel in a spontaneous and instinctive gesture. It is a detail that becomes a statement of intent, almost an invitation to let go to a more natural dimension of living.

The three shades chosen-ancient pink, brown, and sand-seem to belong more to the landscape than to the product itself. They are colors that reflect the Majorcan earth, the sun-warmed stones, the golden dust that rises at sunset along the dirt roads leading to the Corazón. Nothing appears forced, everything seems already there, as if the collection had simply emerged from its context.

Alongside the Sandy, the capsule extends into a lifestyle selection of T-shirts, caps, bandanas and dust bags, all crossed with shared Autry x Hotel Corazón graphics. Essential, almost everyday objects, but capable of carrying a precise imagery: that of a summer lived without rigidity, where gesture is more important than form and identity is built through simplicity. Giving visual depth to the project is the campaign signed by Kate Bellm, who once again chose Corazón as the narrative ground. Her analogue gaze renders an intimate and unconstructed dimension, in which the Sandy girls move among wild cacti, textured interiors, and sudden openings to the landscape. The Mediterranean light becomes as much a narrative element as the subjects, and the entire narrative unfolds in a constant tension between instinct and stillness, presence and fading.

But it was on the evening of May 30 that the project found its most vivid form. Hotel Corazón hosted an event that brought together community, friends of the brand and a selection of international talent who had arrived on the island for the occasion. In the late afternoon, as the light began to change and the hills took on softer tones, the spaces of the finca opened up to an informal aperitif, built around a spontaneous and uncoded sociability. No distance, no rigidity: just people, light and movement. The evening then continued with a shared dinner inside the hotel, under the Majorcan sky, in an atmosphere that maintained the same naturalness as the afternoon. Long tables, fluid conversations, a widespread feeling of being part of something that did not need to be defined to be understood. In that context, Hotel Corazón once again confirmed its most authentic nature: not a simple location, but an emotional device capable of transforming every encounter into an experience.

Guests included actor Ed Westwick in the company of his wife Amy Jackson, singer Pixie Lott with Oliver Cheshire, the couple formed by Toby and Noa Huntington-Whiteley, and many others. To top it all off, there was instead the engaging DJ set by Nina Urgell Coloquell. Autry x Hotel Corazón is a real invitation to rethink the way we go through summer. Not as a sequence of images to be constructed, but as a personal rhythm to be followed. A dialogue between fashion, landscape, and community that finds in Corazón its most coherent expression, and perhaps also its deepest reason: that of reminding us that lightness, when authentic, is a form of culture.
