Kim Kardashian in vintage Dior by John Galliano in New York.

If we were to ask Kim Kardashian for a ranking of her favorite designers, it’s easy to imagine that among the top spots would be John Galliano. In New York, just hours before the Met Gala, Kim is not only preparing for one of the most anticipated evenings of the year, but also continues to collect professional milestones. After debuting as an actress in Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair, the entrepreneur successfully adds producer to her resume. Last night, in fact, she was spotted in New York attending The Fear of 13, a drama centered on the theme of justice – always dear to Kim’s heart – starring Oscar winner Adrien Brody and Emmy nominee Tessa Thompson.

For the occasion, Kim chose a 1997 Dior by John Galliano gown. The model opened with a high, slightly structured oriental-inspired neckline and short sleeves, then evolved into a yellow floral fabric bodice, finished on the chest with thin bands of chartreuse embroidery and navy details. The silhouette continued fitted to a long skirt with a slit down the left leg, hinting at a gladiator-style sandal. The accessories? A Hermès Kelly bag in a mini version, more like a piece of jewelry than a handbag, a detail that once again confirms Kim’s extreme care for every element of her look.
