We still haven’t figured out whether it was Meryl Streep or the dreaded (and beloved) Miranda Priestly who entered the studios of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Because that’s how it goes these weeks. And the “blame” lies with “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” whose countdown to theatrical release is now underway, as is the promotional tour around the world. Doubt is legit because in New York we saw her arriving in Givenchy wearing a silk coat with an animal motif, embellished with a major bow on the neckline, paired with straight-cut black tailored pants and elegant black leather slingbacks. On her face, black cat-eye sunglasses and gold hoop earrings, while on her arm she carried a leather bag embellished with gold detail. All the opposite of what was later seen on the show, where instead Meryl wore a sweater, guess what color? That’s right, cerulean. Maybe anticipation is playing tricks on us, too….
