Sneakers aren’t always meant to be worn. Sometimes they become a rose, other times a belt, and still other times a cardholder. It seems impossible, yet that’s exactly what Vivian Huang does\u2014the Canadian artist who has transformed some of the most iconic sneakers into design pieces destined to win over anyone who loves sneaker culture. <\/p>\n\n

Under the pseudonym Cereal Artist, Huang has built a creative universe in which the concept of upcycling takes on a completely new form. His creations are inspired by models we all know\u2014from the PUMA Speedcat to various Nike styles\u2014but the final result has very little to do with footwear. Petals, accessories, and pieces of furniture take shape through a process of deconstruction and reconstruction that makes each object unique. <\/p>\n\n
