According to documents filed in federal court in California, reported by Variety, the singer claims that her image appeared on Samsung TV packaging starting in 2024, giving consumers the impression of a business partnership that never existed. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the center of the lawsuit would be a shot taken during the Austin City Limits Festival, to which the artist would own the rights, and which was used directly on the packaging of products intended for sale in stores. In the legal file, Dua Lipa&#8217;s team claims that the company would never seek permission or agree on financial compensation with the singer. After discovering the use of the photo, the artist allegedly asked Samsung to immediately stop distributing the promotional material, but did not get any concrete results.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The claim would amount to $15 million. According to the pop star, the unintentional association with the brand would have compromised her control over her public image and business partnerships, an aspect considered central to her professional strategy. Also cited in the lawsuit are a number of social posts by users who allegedly admitted to having purchased the TV specifically because they were impressed by the singer&#8217;s presence on the packaging.
