Velvet raven hair, emerald eyes and alabaster skin. If we were to imagine a dark, beautiful and alluring muse worthy of a Gothic novel or a Pre-Raphaelite painting, she could only come to mind, Susie Cave. Sophisticated and dark, unapproachable and intense at every public appearance, Susie has for years leapt into the headlines for being the beloved wife of that genius Nick Cave-literally his male counterpart-but the truth is that this lady with Draculian features is much more than a “wife of,” as has long been proven. British, the daughter of a diplomat, at only fourteen years old she was discovered by Steven Meisel on an airplane; an encounter that would sanction her modeling career, a profession she has pursued successfully while remaining true to her style, her countercultural image, and her unique personality, which has also been her fortune. A career she still carries on today, as the testimonial and face of Tom Ford, currently creatively directed by her friend Haider Ackermann: her presence on the catwalk, a mix of lethal sensuality and inaccessible charm, still captivates viewers, as do the shots that immortalize her as the absolute star of the Spring Summer 2026 campaign. <\/p>\n\n

Eclectic and nonconformist, Cave is not only a model but also a successful designer: in fact, for 10 years she co-managed the label “The Vampire’s Wife,” a brand with a feminine allure, romantically Victorian but with a contemporary twist, which closed its doors in 2024. But now, Susie seems ready to put her creativity and over-the-top taste back into play, with a new project just announced on social media. SUSIE CAVE, simply that is the name of the project that, at the moment, still seems shrouded in mystery. The only clue? It would deal with “weddings and funerals.” Already, as also stated in the bio of the official Instagram profile, these would be the two areas in which the icon would choose to try her hand, in what way we are yet to know. Certainly, judging also from the only photo posted – a black and white shot of S\u00f8lve Sundsb\u00f8 – we can only expect something glamorous, even if unusual. After all, that Susie was a peculiar and indecipherable creature was understood early on by Nick Cave, who fell madly in love with her at first sight. <\/p>\n\n
