From Mexico to Bari: El Mercado Espolòn Tequila lights up the city with music and a “pueblo shirt”

A jersey inspired by soccer, but designed as a true cultural piece. It is one of the most recognizable elements of El Mercado Espolòn Tequila, the format signed Espolòn Tequila that stopped in Bari yesterday, May 29, 2026, and will continue today, May 30, 2026, before landing in other cities. For the occasion, Masseria Pietra Sole was transformed into a contemporary open-air market where music, culture and urban imagery coexist.

Among the most recognizable elements of this edition is precisely the “pueblo jersey” dedicated to Bari, inspired by soccer jerseys but reinterpreted creatively. It is part of a larger project that Espolòn is developing in city after city, involving local creatives. For Bari, the signature is that of Sangria Creative Studio, which has translated the brand’s identity into an object somewhere between merch and cultural piece.

Forget, in fact, the classic idea of an exclusive event: Espolòn Tequila, a brand of tequila produced in Mexico, is rewriting the rules. It is doing so with El Mercado Espolòn Tequila, a format that was also created as a response to a certain type of events that are increasingly closed and elitist, where it often matters more to be present than what actually happens. El Mercado Espolòn Tequila goes in the opposite direction: to bring the focus back to the experience, to a more open, spontaneous and shared dimension, where people, sounds and identities mingle without barriers, borrowing the market imagery that increasingly fascinates the new generations.

Around this imagery everything else unfolds: for two days the masseria becomes an urban festival, with DJ sets and live acts crossing different scenes without ever being too constructed. On the line-up are names like Dov’è Liana, Bruno Bellissimo, Mafalda and Enrica, in a continuous flow from dusk until late at night. Rounding out the experience is the food & bar area curated by IANUS, with a drink list that focuses on tequila as a cultural and convivial ingredient, starting with the iconic Espolòn Paloma.

El Mercado Espolòn Tequila, in the end, is also this: a different way of being together. Less constructed, less “event,” more real experience.
